Know HIM

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, But in all your ways know Him....

- anything having to do with your life; pleasing God in all things, is the goal.

- know God in all my ways by prayerfully consulting his word.

God, this forgiveness thing is hard. One moment I feel like I've graduated past the issue- the next I'm back figuring it out all over again. Highs and lows. I am trying to acknowledge you and your presence in all my ways. I want to deliberately decide to release resentment, as many times as I have to in order to be close to you. I want to know the part of you that supplies endless peace and joy like a river. Help me to let it go and choose you, over the need to make others aware of the work your doing in my heart.

They are forgiven, but restore my ability to honor those that have offended me. Help me to have hard conversations, help me not to be fearful but allow me to lean my full weight on you where I feel weak. Give me direction, revelation, and courage to only say what you say. To bridle my thoughts and my tongue so that I will not sin against you. God be the banner that goes before me.

Give me a new way to do it. Help me to fully trust you. Your way over my way. To know you is to trust you.
